Born in London. Rachel Nicholson is the daughter of Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth. She paints mainly landscapes and still lifes characterised by simplified shapes and fresh flat colour. She participated in the group exhibition The Nicholsons at the Crane Kalman Gallery in 1983. She has exhibited regularly throughout her career, more recently at the Montpellier Studio in St Ives.
