Carl Cheek - b.1922


Educated both in England and Sweden.

Attended Chelsea School of Art 1945-48 under Coxon, Medley and Ceri Richards and then the Royal College of Art 1948-51 under Ruskin Spear, Carel Weight, Robert Buhler, John Minton and Francis Bacon.

From the early 1950’s he exhibited widely notably at the Royal Academy, NEAC, Redfern Gallery, and held a solo show at the Piccadilly Gallery in 1956.

His work is included in numerous private and public collections, including the Government Art Collection.
