After concluding his art degree at Bristol Polytechnic, Granger-Taylor went on to complete a Post-Graduate Diploma at the Royal Academy Schools from 1987 to 1990, where he won numerous awards including the Richard Ford Award and Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award.

He has had five highly successful solo shows in London, and his work has been acquired by important private and institutional collectors including Sir Brinsley Ford, the Duke of Devonshire, the National Westminster Bank Plc, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
