The official residence of the President of India, originally the Viceroy’s House. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens as the architectural climax of New Delhi, it has been called ‘a masterpiece of symmetry, discipline, silhouette and harmony’. The view is flanked by the twin Secretariat buildings, the work of Sir Herbert Baker.
